In Baltimore County, MD: Scared & confused Shadow needs a foster/rescue NOW to save his life!

Scared Shadow Needs Rescue ASAP!🆘 Meet Shadow! This poor pup is beyond scared and confused as to why he is at the shelter. Unfortunately, he had to be surrendered by his owners after the tenant was receiving complaints of Shadow whining in the home and the landlord said Shadow could not stay. Shadow has very quickly won over the heart of staff members here at the shelter. He is usually found shaking out of nervousness in his kennel but once leashed and outside you can see his confidence really start to shine. He would really perk up when passing by other dogs and even did amazing in play group with some dog friends. He can still be a bit conflicting at times when he feels the leash on him or is accepting pets but he does nothing more than tense up and tremble a little. With enough time and patience though we know Shadow will come around but the shelter is no place to see him blossom again. His owner reported that he is a great dog but is nervous of new people, so we can only imagine how Shadow feels in a building full of strangers. We are taking it slow with Shadow and have been working with him to make him feel comfortable. He was started on anti-anxiety medication as well but what he really needs is a rescue organization to step up and help him! 🔹Name: Shadow 🔹Age: 1 year old 🔹Gender: Male 🔹Weight: 52.7lbs 🔹Color: black/white 🔹Breed: Mixed Breed 🔹Reason for Rescue: Behavior 🔹Health Concerns: None at this time 🔹Behavior: extremely nervous in shelter, dog friendly, fearful of strangers at first 🔹Available for Adoption through BCAS: No 🔹Available for Foster through BCAS: Not at this time Please let us know if your organization can help!
