It's pretty hard for me to sleep in dead silence, but I usually have the familiar sound of computer fans nearby. Some people swear by ambience/white noise machines and others fall asleep to low volume TV.

Here's hoping the tinnitus gets better or goes away. Living with permanent CRT whine for 20 years has given me a bit of experience if you want advice or to talk about it.
