Hello! I'm Lucy, I'm a historian, I write books like biographies of Agatha Christie and present a VERY GOOD @BBCSounds podcast called #LadyKillers. For ages I was Chief Curator of Historic Royal Palaces, now an Ambassador for the charity.
We've been working strange hours at the Doge's Palace, very early and very late to avoid the visitors. Which has meant some time off in Venice! I've used mine to play hide and seek in the giardini

This week I ate my last splendid roast beef lunch at Devon's splendid Burgh Island Hotel of 2025. But I'll be back in 2026. Maybe you'd like to come on an Agatha Christie holiday with me next year?
