…differences between ALL-STORY LOVE and LOVE STORY quite as succinctly as this one; no one ACTUALLY gets laid here*, but sex is nevertheless dripping all over the damn place.

*Tho they MIGHT have banged in the past. The wording is very coded and up to interpretation. I choose to believe they did.

Still too mentally occupied to sincerely work on my review for this book, so instead I'm just going to share some other interesting excerpts.

But yeah, it's literally canon that this motherfucker (affectionate) looks Mexican/Latino, unlike his half-brother. (WHO WAS HIS MOM???)

Also, ICYMI, the ebook for one of my Beulah Poynter #mystery collections is still on sale for $2.99! No disability rep in here, but some unusually complex (for the time) depictions of PoC, drug use, motherhood, and more. WWI even plays an interesting part in the background of the 4th story. #pulp
Casual reminder that the ebook for IT LOOKED LIKE MURDER, a collection of 5 loosely-connected Beulah Poynter proto-procedurals (originally from 1919-1922), is still on sale! Do you want some vintage mysteries with romantic subplots & a progressive/feministic bent? Look no further! #pulp #mystery

Oh, for sure. And re: the "noble savage" trope, one maybe-not-so-explored aspect is how it relates to regular-degular adventure fiction of the time? Like, I really do see a lot of Tarzan (for instance) in the titular character, and I mean that derogatorily, pfft.

This one is short and sweet, but also devastating. 💀 #WattpadMafiaBoss

Not quite, but now that you mention it, they ARE both playing in that sandbox of "exotic" and "primitive," but also "his dad was an English lord, so it's totally socially acceptable!!!"

This is another take I respect (and one that might even make me respect the characters themselves a little more???). 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨

Tired: Kidnapping a woman because you have no sexual self-control and a fuck-ton of Daddy Issues.

Wired: Kidnapping a woman because you can make her wealthy relatives pay through the nose (possibly in an attempt to offset their colonialist, capitalist exploitation of your local working class???).
