has it been hard? VERY. i still constantly feel like i'm not good enough. but again it's about your journey, and our club is insanely nice so it's a very supportive and kind one. is my form still terrible? ALSO VERY. but each week i turn up and fix a little bit more. 😍

i've needed to learn how to handle rejection better; how to handle failure. i cannot understate how wonderful kyudo has been for that, and coming to see your failures as opportunities to learn rather than reasons to feel disappointed in yourself. always search for things you enjoy that challenge you

for someone always wrapped up in doing everything flawlessly and comparing myself, kyudo has been such a breath of fresh air and humbling! you're never perfect. you're always on your own path to improvement. you learn from those around you. it's not about who is the best; it's about what you learn

i have had a pretty crummy year, most of all right now. BUT one thing that i can safely say i love about myself is that i always push myself to do things that i find scary, or that helps me grow. i've come up on a year and a bit doing 弓道 now, a sport that is about your own journey, not being perfect

i could make bright frilly spotted car seat covers. it has a SHINY YELLOW INTERIOR. i could change the horn noise to something obnoxious. this car is all i've thought about for the past 24h. please tell me not to do it
