My favorite thing about going to a coffee shop to write is that for a few blissful hours I feel like I get to be a background character in someone else's story. Like I forfeit my own story for a bit to exist purely as set dressing.

Question for those with reading goals: do you count re-reading a book towards your goal? I re-read Frankenstein a couple months ago, and I still can't stop thinking about it. I want to re-re-read it, but I also only have a few weeks left to reach my goal. #booksky

I don't really have any followers, so I know probably nobody will see this or respond, but I have to share somewhere.

I've decided to write a book of short stories and essays. Today I realized I have 1 story and 2 essays left, and then I have a completed 1st draft of the manuscript. Aaaah!

Somehow I survived 2024. If I'm going to survive 2025 my only option is to force it into submission.

This is the year I get a bunny.

Today marks my first full day under my new legal name. It's strange how mundane of a day it's been, and yet my heart feels lighter than air. I am myself, and not only are people allowed to know it, they're required to.

My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today.

My favorite thing about rabbits is the ears. It's like they knew the best part of a small furry animals was the ears, and that the only answer to that was to grow really long ones.

Also their little hoppies. Bunny hops are the cutest thing.

Okay, guess I'm here now. We'll see how long this lasts. I really enjoyed being without social media, though, so my guess is "not long."
