Wife urged me to buy some more walking sandals since the pair I wear 24/7 is getting a bit ragged. Finally found a pair i liked (I'm hard to shoe shop for and have specific needs). They arrived today. Walked in them for about ten minutes and they basically exploded
My hand holding a teal strappy leather sandal. From this angle it looks normal, but wait! I have now flipped the sandal upside down. The sole is shredded like a dog attacked it. The rubber has come away in huge chunks, revealing foam underneath which has immediately been destroyed.

Got carded buying 0% alcohol wine and this was the only ID I had in my wallet

fondly remembering when wife and i went to kapiti island and this kaka french kissed me with its extremely sharp beak in order to steal some jerky out of my mouth. no regrets
funny looking white lady with heart-shaped glasses (me) with an huge kaka (mountain parrot) on my shoulder. there is some blood on my lip. i look unamused

Grapes ringing up at fifteen dollars a kg. Not organic grapes of anything, just regular grapes. In the photo I'm buying $22 of grapes.

drink number 3 on my personal IBA Cocktail Challenge is a Long Island Iced Tea :) i really loved this one! after i drank it i unfortunately accidentally smashed the hell out of the glass, raining shards all over my dining partners. sorry everyone

Martian Manhunter from DC Comics. He's a green humanoid with a huge forehead, bright blue shorts and cape, and a big red X over his chest. With all due respect to the artist, his design is crap. A cover from Absolute Martian Manhunter. A blonde, beat-up man in a suit is standing at the bottom of the frame, gazing upwards. Bursting from his head and taking up most of the cover is a multicolored, semi-humanoid alien figure that is melting and crystallizing into the white background. He has a sort of humanoid face and hands, though he only has a single eye that is blasting red light into the top of the cover where the Absolute Martian Manhunter text is.

Finally returning to the IBA cocktail challenge (having and enjoying as many unique cocktails on the official IBA list as I can!) My second entry is this excellent Negroni I had with lunch :) I find them really drinkable; I'm a fan of all the components individually and they're even better together.

Three candidates for mayor in Wellington. First is William Pennywize -- Pennywize the Rewilding Clown. It is clear he's a clown (and possibly a Juggalo) in his headshot. Josh Harford -- Aotearoa New Zealand Silly Hat Party. He is in fact wearing a silly hat. Andrew Little -- Labour. He just has a slightly funny face.

my own #wplace adventures have been very small, aside from putting a bird and my wife's name over my house i've just been doing a couple of Blue Whale Cookies from #cookierun because i love her (and apparently i'm not alone, it's been really cute seeing notes pop up)
