I have gotten so used to painting Gunpla that I forgot how much time edge highlights can take, especially when the model is all edges. Next up the gloss coat and decals.

Started working on some more parts of the big project today and someone asked me for a shot showing how I attached the shield parts to the drone. So I took this picture and I find something very pleasing about the composition.

towards the center of the image is an off white T'au drone, surrounding the drone is an energy field represented by a partial sphere of green hexagons. The sphere is supported by a clear acrylic rod attached to the drone. The drone itself rest atop a piece of armature wire modeled to look like rebar, below the drone you see the top of a larger models base forming an arc. The whole arrangement sits on a green cutting mat with a grid pattern interspersed with different sized circles.

A Daemon (from Mars) Custom Gundam Barbatos painted and modified to resemble a Daemon of Khorne. A Witch (From Mercury) Gundam Aerial modified with with Wings and a Spear sporting a dark green colour scheme A Blood Angels Captain with power fist and plasma pistol (Look I'm struggling to find 4 "spooky" themed models and these guys are basically vampires. Nothing more halloweeny than a magical amphibian. An absolutely ancient (both lore wise and chronologically) Slaan Mage

More work on my cerulean project entry, just a few highlights here and there but I did take the torso of its handle and attached the left arm to make sure all the positioning was correct. I may have jumped the gun though as now I have nowhere to hold.

This weeks work. Main torso is coming along nicely. Got a few more bits to paint and attach. Need to assemble most of it before I can work on the right arm, but I think I am going to do decals and washes before I do that/ I was also finally able to do a test assembly on the shield drone.

COVID Shot kicked my arse yesterday and I also had to spend time leveling my build plate, but, I did get the missile pods printed. I would trying to decide what shoulder options I wanted to use, but I think I like the asymmetry here.

Todays hobby progress. Not quite as much painting as I would have hoped as I am still trying to work out the last few kinks printing clear resin but I managed to give the legs a coat of satin varnish and got a start on the left arm and torso.
