Almost two weeks of film festival-ing has turned my brain into such mush that it's now going rogue and asking for photos after interviews. My camera folder probably had a heart attack, but I guess BlueSky can have it so here's some guys in front of an inspiring backdrop.

When Dune came out in 2021 it felt like a massive breath of fresh air for blockbusters. Since then there's been several great tentpole movies and I haven't felt nearly as starved. Yet here comes Dune Part 2 and, once again, it felt like a massive breath of fresh air. Really loved this.

THE MARVELS opens with an energetic and fun sequence but then succumbs to an undercooked plot and a baddie making a couragous effort to top those "worst MCU villain" lists. Most of the movie is hollow mediocrity without any actual thrills.
The Khans and the cats are, however, innocent.

A lot of people showing their whole elderly ass being surprised that a Five Nights at Freddy'd movie would demolish the opening weekend box office. The movie sucks but of course a tsunami of fans would attack the theaters (and apparently each other inside the theaters) to see it.
