don't think I posted this here. Basically explaining why I'm starting with noob-level stat analyses, where I think the WNBA might be and where the WNBA might be going.

How will the league's skill-ball revolution clash with both past and present NBA orthodoxy?

Egor Demin plays 15 first-half minutes, just five in the second half, getting subbed after mistakes/bad plays

first game where I really can't get down with his PT

I am definitely in the minority by disagreeing w/ some of Ben's subjective takes here here but man is this a great video

Harden going for like 45-12-12 in 50+ a meaningless November double OT game on a crappy roster

disliking him is evidence of poor character

Orlando's half-court offense is as bad as everybody says

they should probably be proactive and bring in a new coaching staff (sorry)

Nico Harrison won't be getting a do-over or a second act. The Luka trade will stand as his legacy.

don't care that Noah's 3-point shot isn't falling (yet)

- defenders close out on him pretty respectfully
- has newfound strength to body up a rock like CMB

Egor Dëmin ON: Nets shoot 14.1% more of their attempts from three, 100th percentile mark across NBA

Cam Thomas ON: Nets shoot 13.3% fewer of their attempts from three*, 0th percentile mark across NBA

*(+12.5% of shot attempts from the midrange, 100th percentile mark)

James Harden with an unusual brainfart, somehow thought he needed to shoot from the logo with 15 secs left

In 2025, WNBA teams were 97-213 when they shot worse from three than their opponent.

However, WNBA teams were 50-85 (a 37.04 win %) when they *also* had a higher 3PAr in these games.

They were just 47-127 (27.01%) when, instead, they also took fewer threes. Something? Nothing?

in which I talk about Egor and the question of playing time for these rookies
Questions of playing time, Egor Dëmin abound in Rookie Report — No. 2
Jordi Fernández and the Brooklyn Nets are down to just one rookie in the rotation…but is that so bad?

Jordi often talks about Egor needing to "use his setups" more effectively. What does that mean?

Here, he attacks far too early, leaving Day'Ron no time to set a good screen. TSJ can easily cut off the driving lane on Egor, who travels:

Nic Claxton irritates the Wolves and (inadvertently, perhaps) shows the next evolution of the decel

when used as the gather step, you can still get to a two-foot base and avoid getting caught in the air if your defender stays with you:
