I haven't done it for sale, but Ive definitely made fan art sketches of characters solely from enjoying the character's Aesthetic. Like, I hadn't seen any critical role episodes but I started drawing Jester for myself because I enjoyed seeing some cosplayers I follow dress as her.

This is pure laziness. All those WPA posters that this slop is lifting from are in the government archive. They literally could just dig through the stacks of amazing golden age illustrations
