I'm not here to glaze Jobs -- he sounds like a real piece of shit from a lot of different eye-witness reports -- but let's at least get the facts straight on our little slice of the 2025 internet.

...a choice his biographer said he later regretted, after he did finally elect to have surgery:
www.forbes.com/sites/aliceg...

"[Jobs] began ... researching the most sophisticated experimental methods, making a complete about-face from how he began his treatment years before."

A little more quoting for the "yeahbut"ians:

"In 2009, Apple spent only $1.5 million to lobby the federal government, less than Amazon, Yahoo and IBM. In 2009, Google, for example, spent $4 million, Microsoft $7 million and AT&T $15 million…."

According to a quote in this posthumous article, Jobs' Apple wasn't much in politics:
www.cnbc.com/2011/10/06/s...

"Despite being a $100-billion-a-year company in a rapidly changing industry, Apple never formed a political action committee. Also, Apple spent less on lobbying than its competitors."

My team and I made 3 games (set in the same cyberpunk universe) which sim-shipped earlier this year.

I've submitted quickie trailers for all three even though they're not really your typical streaming fare -- I hope y'all find something you'll like!

This is the face of a young man, full of joy and hope for the future. He had kindness in his heart, and a laugh ready to burst forth at all times!

Why, I remember it like it was only... WHAT it's been 15 YEARS no way ah jesus ah man it's... it can't be... **I** can't be that old! No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It's a life of constant discovery. Every day an adventure, every task a quest to find the lost pencil.

I... probably should be. :-€

I once heard a reply (which I can't source now, because I'm probably misremembering it) when a famous director or musician was asked "what's your favorite of everything you've ever made?" where the artist in question replied "why, the one I'm working on now, of course."

I'm here to yell at you because it's only been 2 hours since you said this and you're posting about being a sweaty gremlin.

I love this take -- good insight on an activity (I suspect) we all did as children (and a topic on which I can't recall a single article being written). Bravo!

A brilliant strategy.

Plus a bit of coincidence or convenience (see "this particular group of specific people just happened to be a bad culture fit! Everyone else fits great -- now.")
