a couple of months ago, after my lamp flickering for a while, it just turned off with a weird noise, blew a plug, and left a weird chemical smell in my room for a little bit.

But no worries, I've bent the prongs of the lamp back into shape and replaced the lightbulb :) (before and after)

i. enjoyed it. this one is complex because I didn't care as much for the main couple as I did for some of the side characters. but I still really liked it and there was a part I was really locked in. annoying final chapter though. a bit contrived for my taste.

Recently, this world became mine only ......

this has been on my list forever, for some reason. and I kept bouncing off it, so I decided to actually fully read it.

i hate it. i have nothing but hate for the writer and everything they stand for. more in alt text.

holy fucking shit. the idea of being alone on this earth suddenly, always interesting. in fact, I actually really liked how the world "felt". big, empty. and at first, its not scary because nobody is around. but it becomes scary instantly the moment one extra person shows up.

additionally, it tells a story about sex. one in which, at first, the protagonist is a nymphomaniac who can only sleep after having good sex due to sexual trauma. sure. whatever. it actually goes deeper into that trauma and presents it kind of realistically. sure.

additionally, the people around her seem to be conspiring in some way. not all of them. but definitely some of them are not what they seem, and have this nebulous goal. sure. this is where my excitement kicked in. what is this all about? this story is starting to revolve specifically around the protagonist. what influence do they have on this world.

but holy shit. there's so much missed potential and the erotic parts of it are so bad. it's like there's a serious plot going on about like. sexual abuse by an older family member. throwing yourself into sex to get away from that thought. fear of the dark because of what you went through. etc. etc. etc., but then every character occasionally turns porn brained. it's like the author got his dick wet every other chapter and just haaaaad to add some sex. not just that, the mc basically rapes multiple characters but it's fine because they liked it probably even though one of them was sleeping while it happened. i.

and not just that. afterwards, it kneecaps every single theme and character background. it was actually a stepbrother. he's dead now. she was in a coma. she's actually a virgin. her new husband (the psychic she raped in her coma who actually experienced it) loves her new coma trait of dressing up only in lingerie. the end. im sure it was rushed to a close but jesus christ if this was your ending. my god.
