I'm not

The BBC future is at risk right now, and whether you like it or not, Davy statements have virtually no impact on what's going to happen to it...

As a matter of fact, I'm a big supporter of Davy and the libdems...
November 10, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Yes...

Funny tho how the BBC itself has entirely plastered its website with farage and trump statements while coincidentally "forgot" to mention our own PM comments, however meek they are...

It's almost as if they want to destroy themselves...

🤦
November 10, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Yes, Davy has...

I was referring to the leaders that actually count right now, the ones that are in a position of power and can defend an old British institution
November 10, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Well, let's see how these statements translate into actions

Starmer and his govt are not exactly famous for sticking to their words, are they? Especially when it comes to pleasing the right wing populist thuggery...
November 10, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Not just yet...

He'll wait another few months...

Just so that he can buy for a few pennies, after it's credibility has been completely destroyed...
November 10, 2025 at 4:16 PM
Yes, I do stand firmly with the BBC

The question is: does any of our so called "leaders" stand in support of public, free, unbiased media too?

I doubt that very much... 😢
November 10, 2025 at 4:11 PM
This is beyond ridiculous...
November 10, 2025 at 1:58 PM
What do you mean "a revamp of the taxation system"?
November 10, 2025 at 9:55 AM
Taxing the rich or running a deficit budget achieve the same goal: redistribution of wealth either by rebalancing it's value in comparison to the value of work, or by pulling wealth out and funneling it back through govt spending

Unfortunately for Rachel, both approaches will piss off her donors
November 10, 2025 at 9:35 AM
Yep... I wonder how much he's making from this resignation...

I mean, there must have been, I don't know, maybe ten opportunities for him to resign in the past couple of years alone...

And he goes ahead at exactly the right time to cause the most destructive damage possible...
November 10, 2025 at 9:25 AM
I wouldn't be so sure about that...
November 10, 2025 at 9:22 AM
I find it utterly bewildering that a lot of "socialists" lefties here do not see how these resignations are a colossal win for the populist right

and that it may very well signals the end of public broadcasting media in the UK

In favour of populist billionaires dominated privatised media
November 10, 2025 at 9:18 AM
To be fair to him... He left precisely for that reason...
November 10, 2025 at 12:23 AM
The trouble is that with this myopic and idiotic conviction, they're literally f*cking up the country...

As if it wasn't already...
November 10, 2025 at 12:03 AM
And this is just the beginning...

Josiah expressed it perfectly earlier 👇

The BBC is tearing itself apart to appease publications and politicians who want to see it die.

An absolutely kamikaze approach to running a media organisation. I can't see it ending well.
November 9, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Yes

The BBC desperately needed reform

Not dismantling...
November 9, 2025 at 11:09 PM
It will destroy the public broadcasting service
November 9, 2025 at 11:07 PM
Mate... Yes the BBC isn't perfect...

But this is totally and 💯 a victory for the right wing morons...
November 9, 2025 at 11:06 PM
Yes... Absolutely...

But unfortunately, however bad he may have been, his resignation will simply galvanise all the right wing moronic populists and push further the "cancel the TV licences" narrative
November 9, 2025 at 10:33 PM
I'll remind you of this post once they've abolished the TV licence and turned the BBC into a propagandist sh*thole...
November 9, 2025 at 10:27 PM
Unfortunately these resignation will do the exact opposite of what you hope...
