Don't forget David Gentile who was convicted of a $1.6 billion scheme that defrauded thousands of victims. Trump decided that he had served enough time and had learned his lesson. So, after serving a tortuous 12 days of his 7-year sentence, Gentile's term was commuted.

Medicare was established because no company wanted to insure old people. What are the elderly supposed to do? Negotiate by themselves a better price than the govt can get when paying for millions of seniors? So really sick, old people will spend their last days wading thru corporate red tape.

I have noticed a shift in GOP rhetoric blaming insurance companies and trying to align Dems w giving wasteful subsidies to insurance companies. I think they are going to try to say they will give everyone a small amount of money to buy insurance - gateway to getting rid of Medicare and Medicaid.

This is the first step to get rid of Medicare and Medicaid. They’ll just send a small amount to people to “buy” their own coverage. The whole reason we have Medicare is no company will cover old people at a reasonable rate.
