I have close friends and family that I’ll make sure remember all of this in my endearing but scathing way. They won’t get a free pass for a decade of but what about Hillary-ism. Sometimes medicine tastes like shit but is necessary.

Change takes a long time. But legacy media is on a path for an eternal death. Hell, broadcast TV is all but dead except for old people who keep it alive. Yes, streaming services can pick up some slack for NBC/ABC/CBS, but their era is over. Unless they bring back TGIF.

It’s a unique dynamic but Hegseth perpetually acts like a toxic junior field grade officer. It’s his MO. He has no feel for navigating the politics of the officer corps, just hammer down, do what I say. That makes a lot of enemies. My opinion as a humble junior field grade that hates toxic leaders

There’s always a way to politely dismiss officers that outrank me. I usually just space out and nod but I would never do what Hegseth does. Keep antagonizing them and see how that works out.

He’s the worst kind of entry level field grade officer. Thinks they’re the shit and know better than anyone in their sphere. Look at his insane focus on being a “tough guy.” Compensating much? Senior leaders have eye rolled him so far, but I’d bet they’re ready to knife him.
