Large political donors have worked against him and politicians/candidates like him. Most can't get elected, certainly can't get legislation passed.

Health care personnel such as doctors and nurses have nothing to do with this other than their individual votes or small individual donations to politicians. This is a political issue, corporations donating to and lobbying elected politicians, specifically Republicans.

Breaking UH up won't change anything. You would just have 10 small grifting companies rather than one large one. Fixing the problem is political - voting in the party/politicians that will take us to universal health care.

But the grifters/profiteers would lose out. This is the number 1 reason we don't have it. Same reason defense spending is embarrassingly high. Same reason ICE seems to have a limitless budget.

In the US, as long as rich people can convince the non-rich to keep voting against their own best interests (ie, voting Republican), we will not have universal health care. But we can spend nearly a trillion yearly on defense even though we haven't declared an actual war since 1942.

Understand. We have topics I know to leave alone, too. While we are all Christians, as a scientist (MD), I can't ignore logic and common sense. I try not to engage in religious conversations and I roll my eyes and keep quiet when they give health and medical advice (nonsense) to each other. 😊
