Out of interest, are you seeing much use of AI in your field? I went to a conference in the summer and was surprised at how often AI was used. Audience Qs about how prompts were 'engineered', etc, which gave the impression this had been normalised. We citing genAI now, then? Threw me a bit 🤨

Followed, of course, by a global email from a frustrated colleague that just said:

"Please, for the love of God, DO NOT HAND OUR 'OFFICIAL SENSITIVE' DOCUMENTS TO CHATGPT" 2/2

Before my PhD I was a civil servant. At one of the last Town Halls I attended, the Big Guys spent an hour on an audience-muted call *losing their absolute minds* over what we could do with AI: "It's going to be revolutionary! Try it out today! You'll never write a report again!" 1/2
