i’m not the biggest Cronenberg fan just because body horror makes me particularly squeamish more so than a lot of other horror tropes (i can’t watch the substance at all), but i do love Videodrome and The Fly. The Fly in particular is just so good

the Nosferatu example makes me think of how much i would want a game that more or less blends that with F.E.A.R. a gothic, supernatural horror shooter with good feeling guns, unique alternate weapons (like the cross in Nosferatu), bullet time, and leaning around corners.

yarr ps2 games often be very expensive especially horror games so i have to emulate a lot of them if i want to play them which isn’t my preference but otherwise i completely agree…matey

i mean similarly I love Sam Raimi movies for being very well made schlock. i do appreciate how much Raimi leans into how schlocky his movies are though, like with him there’s no pretense that he makes big important movies whereas i feel like Ridley does have that, but it’s kinda charming i guess
