Horror Every Day part 7! I haven't been feeling well for a few days, as of now I have a pretty nasty cold. Maybe Threads will make me feel better! Think it'll give me the boost I need to kick this bug I've got? Probably not, but at least I don't have radiation poisoning.

Horror Every Day part 6! We are feeling *vampires* this season. Yesterday, I watched A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night for the first time and today, I started season 2 of Interview with a Vampire. I used to obsess over vampires as a teen and my love for them never completely faded.

Horror Every Day part 5! I started watching Monster: The Ed Gein Story. I know it's not accurate, I read all about Ed Gein in high school, when an interest in true crime was still considered a behavior of concern. I'm here for fun, not to learn something new this time.

Horror Every Day part 4! I didn't have time to squeeze in a movie today, but I did manage an episode of Twin Peaks! I'm trying really hard not to binge watch this show so I can draw out the fever dream that is Twin Peaks and lately has been what I watch between full-length films.

Horror Every Day part 3! Today I re-watched 28 Years Later! I caught this one in theaters and enjoyed it the first time, but had to see it a second time to watch with subtitles. I can't hear without my subtitles.

Horror Every Day #2! I'm currently reading Hungerstone by Kat Dunn! It's a modern retelling of Carmilla, admittedly I've never read the original story. I'm sure there is at least as much queer vampire content. Only a few chapters left before the end, trying to finish by Saturday for book club.

Happy Spooky Season! I'm starting my "Horror Every Day" streak today! Each day, I'll be sharing the horror media I enjoyed. It won't always be a movie. It might be a book, podcast, series, audiobook... anything related to horror!
Today I'm watching Sisters (1972)! Never seen it, I hope it's good!

I'm bringing back #Horror Every Day for the spooky season! It's not always a horror movie, but I do engage with the horror genre in some capacity pretty much every single day. I read horror novels and listen to podcasts and audiobooks, too! I'll share in what way I engaged with my favorite genre.

Me every time I watch a Gaspar Noé film:
"Brilliant! Pure cinema! I'm never watching it again and can not, with good conscience, recommend this movie to anyone." 🙃🫠

I finished reading Danse Macabre by Stephen King over the weekend, just in time for The End of the World As We Know It to arrive tomorrow. But do I finish the other books in my "currently reading" stack, or just start it right away?

For day 19 of #Horror Movie a Day, I'm watching The Witches of Eastwick (1987). Tomorrow, I return to work and this movie is a great way for me to wrap up HMotD. I'm pretty sure you couldn't have casted any better than this for the Devil and his stunning harem.

For day 18 of #Horror Movie a Day, I watched The Dentist (1996). It's not exactly "pure cinema", but due to my own real-life anxiety surrounding a visit to my dentist, I was still intensely freaked out.

On day 17 of #Horror Movie a day, I watched Ghostwatch (1992)! Thirty years before Late Night with the Devil, we had Ghostwatch. It's a spooky combination of found footage, mockumentary, and the story of a family haunted by poltergeist and played as a live broadcast. Would recommend!

I'm on day 16 of #Horror Movie a Day! Today I watched Vampire Hunter D (1985). As a teen, I went through a massive vampire obsession and devoured every piece of vampire lore I could find. So as an adult, I rarely explore vampire stories. Somehow I missed this one!

Day 15 of # Horror Movie a Day and I watched (and loved) Under the Skin (2013). I'd seen this movie pop up on a couple of "top horror film" lists, and it's well-deserved hype! The score, the atmosphere, the cinematography... it's amazing! New film for me to recommend to everyone I know.

14 days of #Horror Movie a Day, and today I watched Monkey Shines (1988). Animals misbehaving is such a fun sub-genre and George Romero did a great job turning a cute, sweet animal into a evil little monster.

It's Day 13 of #Horror Movie a Day! Today I'm watching The Orphanage (2007). Are ghost stories scarier if you believe in ghosts? Don't get me wrong, I love a good ghost story and The Orphanage is great. I just never really get the willys with ghost movies. 🤷
Got a ghost movie that scared you?

For day 12 of #Horror Movie a Day, I watched Onibaba (1964). My dvd player has really been put to work lately! Just a reminder, visit your local library to support the continued circulation of physical media!

Day 11 of Horror Movie a Day! Today I watched Until Dawn (2025). For as much as I love horror movies, I'm much too scaredy to play horror games. Everything I knew about this story, I learned watching a roommate play the game about 8 years ago.

Day 10 of Horror Movie a Day! Today, I'm watching Death of a Unicorn. This past spring was hot with highly anticipated horror movies and missed DoaU in the cinema, so I'm thankful I didn't have to wait too long to drop on streaming.

Day 9 of Horror Movie A Day! Today I'm watching Inland Empire. I know, David Lynch film about the horrors of Hollywood two days in a row. I've been trying to be diverse with my movies, but I want to listen to the David Lynch episode of the Evolution of Horror podcast. And it's a first time watch.
July 26, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Day 8 of Horror Movie a Day and today I'm watching Mulholland Dr. (2001)
I've been slowly working my way through David Lynch's catalog since his passing and I don't think I've ever seen a person say they *didn't* like Mulholland Dr, so my expectations are high.

Day 7 of horror movie a day, and I'm watching Cannibal! The Musical(1993). Technically, this is considered a "musical comedy," but cannibalism is one of my favorite horror themes and is inherently undeniably horrific.

Day 6 of horror movie a day and today I'm watching The Night of the Hunter! I picked up a stack of dvds from the library to keep me busy for a few days and I think I got a good, diverse spread of films. Starting here just because it's the oldest and shortest of the stack.

Day 5 of horror movie a day! Today I'm watching AfrAId (2024) on Netflix. I've always been sort of freaked out by sci-fi that dives into the potential of AI going evil, even before AI controversies became so topical. Once you read "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream"...
