Favorite new pharma ad character: Depressed woman who takes Vraylar and ends up at a WRITER'S RETREAT. (She is so doomed.)

It took me a year to write this, so you have to read it.
Clair Obscur leads the AP's list of 2025's top video games
In a year in which technology news was dominated by artificial intelligence, the outstanding video games were still being designed by human beings.

No one on this new version of 'Match Game' is drinking or smoking, which defeats the whole purpose.

This is a remarkable game in just about every aspect, but I think what makes it particularly special is the writing (led by Jennifer Svedberg-Yen and Guillaume Broche). I can't remember another game in which I cared so much about every single character. It's a tremendous achievement.

So I'm not going to get the Robert Eggers 'Superman' I was hoping for?

The harbor master in 'Jaws' is named Frank Silva, which was the name of the guy who played BOB on 'Twin Peaks.' IT'S ALL CONNECTED.

I so thoroughly loathed the ending of 'The Last of Us' that I never played 'TLOU Part II.' The HBO adaptation could've steered in a different direction, but it sounds like viewers are just as miserable as I would've been if I had come along for the ride.

The novel I'm reading now has these blurbs on the back cover:
The New York Times: Brilliant...irresistible...compelling.
The Scotsman: There's nothing to force you, having been warned, to read it; nor do I recommend it.
TLS: A literary equivalent of the nastiest brand of juvenile delinquency.

13 years between 'Grand Theft Auto' games seems reasonable. Remember how great 'Duke Nukem Forever' turned out?

'Blue Prince' combines the genre I love the most (puzzle) with the genre I hate the most (akin to the 1980 computer game 'Rogue'). Exactly 2.5 stars out of 5.

'Clair Obscur' reminds me A LOT of Jeff Vandermeer's 'Annihilation' (the book more than the movie). Underequipped explorers forced to reckon with an insanely mutated environment. I'm only a few hours in but I'm awestruck.

Sure, the '90s were the Golden Age of Magazines, but for all the $$$ Graydon Carter spent, Vanity Fair was a shitty magazine so entranced by glamor that it had no connection to reality.
