This is Biden's "portrait" on the wall of the colonnade outside the Oval Office. Trump has labeled it The Presidential Walk of Fame. As far as I know, all the other presidents have an actual portrait.

For fun, I looked for the highest res photo I could find that included the bookshelves (via wikimedia). I zoomed in & could only sort of make out the titles on the big blue set. I verified my guess with a used book search. So at least that set is real. But only 30 of 39 vols on the shelves.

My dogs do respond to the "git!" command and hand gesture, but the Cat scan is definitely harder to rebuff.

Got this message just this morning, so I know to expect it in a few days. After I drop it off at the secure ballot box by the library, I'll get another text saying it's been received, followed by a third text when it's counted. (If there's a problem, I'll get a text telling me how to rectify it.)

I use a cast iron comal: mine is 13.5", rimmed, from Cuisinel. (Not in a smoker, just in the oven at 550°)

Disagree: I had a pair of black littermates who were scarily efficient mousers. They hunted like the movie velociraptors: one stalking on the floor and the other above her sister, ready to swoop down with a pointy reckoning.
