I never understood how these Avatar films supposedly make billions of dollars. No one seems to talk about them, the fandom, assuming there is one, appears to be virtually invisible, almost no influence on pop culture, etc. It feels like someone is trying to gaslight us.

There were no parallels, the Jedi did not forcibly take children. They adopted children if the parents want them to after finding out the baby is Force sensitive. And from all economic levels, Dooku's family was extremely wealthy for example. It wasn't just poor people or something.

Er...to your screenshot, Stephen Lang is American. Agree with your basic point but Stephen Lang, one of the guys whose name is above the title is a rather well regarded American actor.
