Yup. You can see it with this year - not a ton of storms, but the sheer amount of them that were majors is a bit crazy.

Climate change is definitely going to effect the strength of storms (the amount of heat in the Caribbean is testament to that.) but I guess I just don't see much value in catastrophizing.

This tied a record that has stood more-or-less since storm tracking began. I just hope the big storms go to sea

Storms stronger than this are a scientific curiosity - as far as real-world impacts go, total devastation is total devastation and there isn't much of a difference between 185mph winds and 200mph winds if everything is going to get scoured to nothing regardless.

But he is right. This is one of the strongest storms ever recorded, and currently tied for the strongest landfalling tropical cyclone in the atlantic basin (assuming it doesn't get upgraded post-season.)

And now I get to help get everything sorted. I'm beyond over the moon excited.

Update.

It's been dry so the moss is a bit crispy but my little Thuja is trucking along

Dandadan? Cleavatess? The Summer Hikaru Died? Takopi's Original Sin?

But yeah, this season is pretty peak.
