Unfortunately, this American is trying to turn a Curling competition into the Ryder Cup.
I am shamed by American curler Dopkins’ behavior at the Olympics. Screaming after a good shot and inciting U-S-A chants is the opposite of competitive grace and dignity. By the way, how’d that work out for you in the medal round, dude?

Dinner tonight = Chicken cutlets bound for a Caesar salad, homemade bread, and my diplomatic effort to bring England and France into a cheese-plated dialogue. All my American sins are washed away by Belgian beer. Can I get a witness?

When Jeff Bezos bought WaPo, he immediately took control of the opinions section. Now, he's laying off hundreds of journalists, including those covering Amazon.

This isn’t a coincidence. It’s the result of billionaires with vested political agendas taking over our media.

Today, we remember all the victims murdered during the Holocaust, and we stand with those who survived.

We also mark the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

This dark memory must be passed to future generations.

Never again.

I’ve seen the horrific video of another fatal ICE shooting. It’s clear that ICE agents are doing more harm than good in Minneapolis. Time for reforms.  They aren’t effectively doing their jobs or keeping Americans safe – they are endangering people.

Excited to be speaking at the IHR Food History seminar on 12 February 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

Book a place to hear about cheesemaking and women’s dominance of the dairy in early modern England.

Online via Zoom so no real cheese this time I’m afraid.

The average ICE agent makes $100k a year, in some cases without a high school diploma, to roam our streets lawlessly terrorizing people. Meanwhile, law abiding American citizens are trying to figure out how they pay for healthcare and groceries at the same time.
