As it’s LGBTQ+ History Month I thought I’d share some bits from my new book Tales of the Suburbs: LGBTQ+ Lives Behind Net Curtains (out in mid March) just to give a flavour of what was going on beyond the privet…

Collective punishment is a war crime.
Kristi Noem’s podium at DHS is just a straight up Nazi slogan

"One of ours, all of yours" was a Nazi policy made when an SS officer was killed in a Czech Village and then the Nazis killed every single resident of that village in response…..but don’t you dare call them Nazis….not even hiding it

Little vid of our Ray Collective Solstice Celebrations - each solstice we devise a completely new folk performance - costume and dance and music - which is performed once only (on the 21st December this year we performed at the nicely ancient Hengistbury Head). There are 20 of us. Nu-ravey joy.

Absolutely loving every minute of this brilliant book. Full of landscapes I love, have worked in or have visited - and others I’ve yet to find. Plus Morris dancing and stones. It’s beautifully written.
Thanks @grindrod.bsky.social for such a great gift.

Running Disco Maypole dancing yesterday at Corfe Castle with my youngest on the decks. We even got in a bit of the nineties ‘On a Ragga Tip’. Happy Beltane. Maximum, silly joy.

My biggest frustration in terms of rising to this moment is: people obviously do not understand that there's a whole psyop strategy around DEMORALIZATION.

I do not necessarily think that every doomcryer is insincere, but to steal hope is still to hand our enemies weapons.

The ever brilliant @anjanakhatwa.bsky.social on telly this evening - the puddle’o’sewerage in Watford was particularly horrifying.

I’ve absolutely loved this series on @channel4tv.bsky.social - this Mysteries series has been perfect Sunday night telly.
What are sinkholes and how do they form? I'll be on Mysteries of Sinkholes on Channel 4 this Sunday at 6pm. If you miss it, it will be on catch up. Amazing stories that take you across the world, I will discuss their broad range from sacred sites to places that swallowed up homes...and people.

More bothersome nonsense from some anti trans voices - it astounds that, when there is so much abuse and femicide by cis men, it has been decided trans people are the threat - it feels like the madness of McCarthyism
