Just the other day another writer did a guest blog for me, and in it he said, "I’ll start with the art. And that is stunning. Simply stunning. Nearly each and every page has something that makes me stop and stare. The illustrations are by the talented Olivia Wylie and I am enchanted by it all."

Sadly, no. Most of the names we've tracked go back to Wales. Pontypridd is a prominent location.

I have a good handful of Slades in the older branches of my family tree. Some of them were Slocombes, but changed their name. I'd love to hear the story why, but no one knows it. I wonder if Richard and Sarah are distant relatives.

It is, isn't it? I've listened to it countless times now.

I've been told my books are #HopePunk. They're optimistic, clever stories set in my own contrived world, BrightHope, on the continent of Industralia. They have a strong #Steampunk leaning.
