US citizen says Ukraine must NOT cede sovereign territory described by Russia as “key” and the world must recognize Russia’s “gains” are no different than Hitler’s “gains” in WWII. At least, then, FDR wasn’t Hitler’s puppet. Times have changed. Trump supports fascism at home and abroad.

I think that the Spanish Inquisition is a good example of religion “gaining influence”.
What I see happening in America is a rise in fear, hatred, bigotry, intolerance and violence. If that is the result of the power of religion, that belief system has nothing to do with God. Absolutely, nothing.
