It could split into way more than 8. For example look at Kaliningrad sitting all by itself surrounded by EU countries. Chechnya and Dagaestan kinda hate each other so lumping them together isn't going to work.

I like to ask them how they'd ship goods without access to sea ports. They typically don't consider those kinds of details, or just assume BC would also seperate.

I have similar thoughts. The far right wants to bring back the 1950s, but at that time the worst thing someone could do was sell out to the ruzzians. Their ignorance of history is mind blowing.

The blame game won't change anything, everyone has failed. What is important is what needs to be done going forward. Once ruzzia is defeated historians can examine where exactly the failures were.
