Apparently today is Beaujolais Nouveau Day. It used to be huge in the Eighties, along with Adam Ant, the SDP and Rubik's Cube.

As I recall, Le Beaujolais Nouveau tastes like bubble gum.

I've just seen my first person posting that The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) is the best film adaptation of the book like they're saying something brave and original.

Colonel Cheney, who fought at Waterloo and survived, is now in Gaddesby Church in Leicestershire. His statue used to be at the nearby Gaddesby Hall, but was moved in 1917. The horse's teeth are blackened because children put an apple in its mouth each year for harvest festival. #ChurchMonuments
