The investments in private prisons is pervasive. WA state investment board have these (passive?) investments in their public equity portfolio (retirement funds). Standards are to be met - HA! I have informed by rep of my concerns. CA retirement funds have divested. Investigation and campaign needed.

Agree, that if the shutdown lasted too long polls would have been bad for both parties and still the R’s wouldn’t have surrendered. Need strategic thinking, an endgame, and new leadership.

Is anyone here a federal worker not getting their paycheck or a SNAP recipient? I agree caving is very bad, but I wonder if anyone expressing their opinion is suffering for it.
