Had an idea for a race of frog goblins, tentatively named 'froblins' that I'm testing out, trying to nail down a style. Tried to land in the middle of a few takes I had.

Also I found this in the bottom tray. I assume it's white gouache as there was evidence of it's use in the tray itself.

What is this lid? Is it for hanging from a nail?

First stop on the magical mystery #watercolor tour is this vintage Marabu watercolor set.

Nearest I can guess it could be from the 60s? in West Germany!

It's missing a few colors but they look fantastic and vibrant. I especially like the silver and gold.

I found some old mystery #watercolor paints at a garage sale for $1.50!!

I imagine some of them are quite toxic?

Going to sort and clean the goo off them and make some color swatches!

Finished this up in the hot sun at our booth at the Lavender Festival nearby.

I'm liking this more 'line and wash' approach to keep me from going crazy with too much realism!

Ouchy... I fell down a #blacksmithing hole for the last month. Had a lot of fun though, and I did my first forge weld today!
Did some more watercolors also, coming soon 😗

Anyone got any ideas for cool things to make? Giant swords are out, but dull butter knives are definitely in.
