Pensioner, artist, antique collector, gamer, Green Party. UK needs a proportional voting system before the next general election. It may give Reform the largest number of seats of any UK party, but it won't give them the overall majority that FPTP will.

You only have to recall the go-home heat that MAGA associates like Dana White or Hulk Hogan have received from WWE audiences, to realise that Foley's act of courage and integrity won't lose him many fans.

I agree. While it's true that small segments of the public will do almost anything to contextualise their racism, the grounding of British Christianity in Methodism and other reformed theologies weds it inextricably to social values. It's inherently left of centre. Plus, Jesus was a refugee...

I meant to reply to this the other day, but was interrupted. I did read the article and was hoping he'd come to a different conclusion to me. He didn't. There's an irony in the inability of what were once known as the 'social christian' parties to unite to ward off the prospect of a right wing govt.

I did, and it made for a depressing read. But I do think it's pretty accurate. Unless Labour introduces PR, or the left agrees to an alliance, we're looking at a far right government in three years time. And I don't think either of those possibilities appeal to Labour Central.
