I wrote about one of the best novels I encoutered last year. One Thousand & One by Kari Hukkila. (Trans. David Hackston).

An essayistic novel with truly unique form. It is part wittgenstein biography, part history of natural disasters & part tempestuous love story.

In a big step for the website, we sent Penelope Dieppa to the New York launch of The School Of Night, where Karl Ove Knausgaard was in conversation with Patricia Lockwood.

An insightful #KnausgaardUpdate.

I just finished Solvej Balle's 1993 book "Ifølge loven // According To The Law", truly blown away. It really mogs OTCOF and hope to see more of their work in translation in the near future.

11. Nothing Grows by Moonlight by Torborg Nedreaas (tr. Bibbi Lee). One woman’s immersive monologue recounting the wounding love affair that has shaped her life brims with arresting philosophical aperçus, freighted by a keen sensitivity to the injustices of capitalist existence.
