I understand it's new vehicles only. The 2035 extends to everything though not just cars. You're not listening to what I am saying. You cannot flip the entire EU transport infrastructure to electric by then. Freight trucks cannot just be swapped over and expect to operate same as usual.

No. There is a 2035 mandate for all vehicles including diesel. That's where the issue lies. They had no chance of making that. There were also ancilliary transport products that had earlier targets that were equally impossible

I work on this shit for a living. Europe is throwing everything they can at it. It's bouncing between electric and hydrogen fuel cells. They don't have enough. Yeah it can support 30-40% adoption on the civilian side. It can't handle 100% for everything.

Infrastructure ain't ready for it. Especially on the heavy duty side. Not enough batteries not enough charging.
