Okay! I wasn't expecting that!
We just got the 5th spot on #newgrounds "Best of September"! I've been super happy with the way it has been received overall, and I'm now (almost) sure that I will be making a full release on Steam.
Super hyped!

A lot of the artwork in "From Rust to Ash" went into making sprites for the items, really pushed what I felt comfortable with, but the #pico8 palette and the limitations of 16 colors on the screen made it easier to push the art I could do

Ive got a lot of feedback for my game, which has been really good! There are more typos than Id like to admit, but no game crashes! Im currently compiling them to do a small patch soon. The rest of recommendations I'm writing down for maybe something down the line #pico8 #gamedev

Took a day off but back a it. I decided to add an "level up/upgrade" system, as well as enhancing the choose menu.

We got the item pickup setup, refined the UI some more in preparation for the active item. Currently working towards on what will be basically the pre-alpha of the game. Just to test around with, make enemy builds, determine balance. #pico8 #gamedev #indiedev

Improved telegraphing, speed selector, button for backpack, and a bit of procedural background with classic circles and fillp's. Been working a lot on items on the background, very excited to start showing more of them.
