Common Wood pigeon (Columba palumbus) in low-low key. One of the great things about common birds is that they are more used to human presence and give an opportunity to experiment with photographic styles. Besides which, as common as they may be they’re often still beautiful. #birds

When flocks of birds take to the sky around the marsh, you just know there’s a predator nearby; a Western Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus) in this case #birds
