i know that it's annoying that you can't cheaply purchase RAM or gas generators anymore due to the AI bubble, but i don't think we should be too worried until they start acquiring things we actually need in daily life, such as big cans of sheep cheese

evergreen thing to say but i really don't like the latest pocket casts update. they renamed the filters to "smart playlists" which sure whatever, but also removed the ability to put custom colours and icons on them so you can easily distinguish them from the menu

a thing about "the danger of algorithms" that drives me up a wall is that people forget that algorithms can only manipulate numbers? everything that isn't already a number (e.g. watchtime) is tracked by proxies that are often crude and unreliable, like how often people use positive or negative words
