Keep thinking about this scene. Stunned at how they didn't react to a slaughtered colleague at their feet. And the cops upstairs? Sheriff vanishes and dead cops, but happily tapping away at reception, counting paperclips in a store closet, smoking a tab outside. Business as usual in Bright Falls?

Pulling up the map *not* pausing gameplay, or NPC dialogue (also muting it, why am I deaf glancing at a map?!), is one of the worst gameplay mechanics I have ever seen. Alan Wake II is a terrible video game, how did it review so positively? Sometimes feel like I play different games to other people.

Not very far into Alan Wake II but this game is annoying me already. The 'Mind Place' blows, feel like I'm just throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks. And didn't get a prompt that I had a final piece of evidence to place, so wandered around the morgue wondering wtf I was supposed to do.

Alan Wake was pretty good, I just felt like it needed to end sooner than it actually did. 'Please let it end, make it stop' were my main thoughts when playing the driving back to Cauldron Lake level towards the end.
Oh, and the birds, fuck those damn birds.

It's been in my library for ages, but I've finally started Torch Shining Simulator 9000 (Alan Wake). Feels nice to play something that I don't instantly dislike.

From the little I played of it, this game wasn't exactly that impressive to look at, so was surprised this was an option. Still, I'm glad it was included as part of PS+, not that I thought it was good though. Tried several games recently and just felt underwhelmed or disappointed with most of them.

Buying this and hoping the controller support is good and it runs on my shitty laptop. I played the Strike games so much; I barely remember birthdays, but still remember the password that loaded me into Jungle Strike's Stealth Fighter mission!

Played the first few missions and Cleared Hot is good so far. A bargain at 12 quid.
Been playing Surviving Mars Relaunched. Never played the original, but it's mostly been an enjoyable experience. However, the performance as my colony expands is becoming problematic, and I'm learning that bugs/issues I encounter also appeared in the game's previous iteration, which is inexcusable.

Next game up was supposed to be Viewfinder. I thought it'd be a game I'd enjoy, but I didn't really feel engaged when playing it. I also found the narration unbearable, even turning it off and just reading the subtitles irritated me 😂

Game completed! I didn't take many pictures really, because I thought it was a beautiful game and I think everyone should discover it for themselves.
