For Americans, the Vietnam War might have been the first war they saw on TV, but for us in South Africa, it was the Iraq War and the 24-hour television news revolution brought to our homes by Peter Arnett and others at CNN.

I have previously seen the work of MSF in Haiti and in several conflict zones in Africa. They do great work, please support them if you can.
What a two-week rotation at a hospital in Kherson, Ukraine looks like:

The medical team doesn't leave the hospital because it's too dangerous.

With near-daily bombing in the area, they create a basement shelter & gym, and deals with power cuts during surgery.
