Yeeeeeaaaah, it's still not great.

Though now I'm thinking the only place that specifically says Mitron was a woman might be one of those side-stories.

> he spied two women he recognized, their cheerful banter a familiar duet.

>"Mitron, Loghrif. A pleasure as always. I gather the meeting is concluded?"

And to make *that* a bit weirder, Reincarnated Soulmate Husband (Mitron/Artemis) was originally a woman as an ancient. There's a quest where two of her students talk about how they were tasked with getting her a flower to, presumably, give to Loghrif (Gaia).

I swear they gotta do this on purpose.

If you do, I recommend a Chao editor for the garden medals in 2, lol.

As much as we all look fondly back on that, it's, uh, kinda bad.

I had that happen once. Instead of catching up on some really good games in my backlog, I completed all the achievements in Sonic Adventures 1 and 2.

I can't say I'm entirely surprised the recipe that starts with carving and roasting your own pumpkin (kabocha squash) from scratch wasn't particularly suited to making after work, tho.

So it'd be fun to make for friends or family but I can't see it ever entering a regular rotation around here.

I get the impression that's the point of the cookbook, though. Rather than be things to make *regularly* it's stuff to make occasionally as an adventure on its own.

That was the shortest week since that one time I took off of work for a week.

We had Hero with a Thousand Faces in our high school english classes and I'm pretty sure it goes "Refusal of the Call" straight into "Roll Credits" so that tracks.

Gah, that panel lining looks so good. I'm never satisfied with mine.

Unfortunately, this does mean we generally get exactly zero of any actually interesting looking indie comics even if I see online hype because I've been burnt before, lol.

This is the exact ratio our teeny tiny comic store uses for the weekly comics as well. We get them wholesale at about half-price so, taking into account other costs, one unsold book "undoes" two sales, so at three we're theoretically not losing money ordering them. (Assuming pull boxes come in)

I often forget how many ads there are in life when you aren't violently blocking as many as you can.

It's fucking dire out there.

Blasphemy! You're supposed to be out there hunting a deer or something.

It's the most fun for both roles. Planning and rolling mits is a good time! Showing/proving you have the ability to do things that aren't basically un-failable feels good!

Single pulling makes me existential. I'm glad it exists for a few reasons, but I'm pulling everything every time.

The queues are long but my apartment has never been cleaner than when I was leveling DPS classes.

~10 minutes of cleaning / ~15 minutes of dungeon was a pace I could've probably kept up with all sorts of chores forever.

We'd order at least a few extra of a DC book, but all the indie creators telling their followers to find a book at their local comic shop seem to misunderstand the whole system.

Thank you for pointing out the FOC!

As a shop manager (and book orderer) it always pains me when creators only advertise when it comes out and we just didn't order any books for the newbies.

I think there's a freedom in making Not-Metroid that helps. Not to say they aren't incredibly talented, but the expectations of such a core series are a special kind of cage.

Sorta like how the Zelda series was gimmicks on top of a core game until they decided it was a completely different game.
