i think the worst part is chuck being concerned about the supplies more than himself . he wants to help his friends so bad, and you can see his chipped horn clearly here

also, whoever set this trap is probably waiting outside to see if anyone survived . even if their isnt anyone, sword needs to stop that bleeding, and has to drag chuck across the desert . vultures could also be an issue
