Sad news: my semi-feral cat, Maestro Salzedo, died overnight resting in his favorite scratch box. At around 14 years old, he was the most timid, indoor only cat who couldn't be petted until late this year. He was a true sweetheart, and I'll miss him saying "hi" to me every day.💔
Semi-feral Maestro Salzedo, a brown and caramel long-haired Norwegian Forest Cat mix tabby, is looking directly at the camera exactly one arms length plus one inch away from being touched.

Aha! My semi-feral kiddo will only eat, but demands it constantly, Market Basket shredded three cheese blend and shredded 4 cheese Mexican blend. Half of my MB trips are for her special food demands.

My artist friend's Halloween get-up for her high school students (she leads the visual arts program for her school district):
The director of visual arts is a living Roman bust at her system's high school. The photo shows an alabaster white Roman bust with carved out eye holes resting on what appears to be a solid plinth. But underneath this seemingly solid based and bust is a Halloween surprise! This hall monitor is super scary!

Normal lab values are reported as UNEXCEPTIONAL - not exceptional. The only other term that is used is stable. Stable solely refers to findings that are largely unchanged. They DO NOT mean normal. Nothing reported states that his blood and diagnostic imaging results are normal.

Southern Right Whales are baleen whales, and they do not have teeth. The use the baleen (made of keratin - the same substance that makes up hair - they have that, too.) to filter food.

Bill Watterson's comic Calvin and Hobbes included a game called Calvinball. Calvin and Hobbes are depicted wearing black bandit masks. Hodge let me give him his insulin and ate his fresh chicken, but refused fresh catnip and treats. WHAT!?!?!

Came home to pick up some allowed canned food that he usually loves and heading back to stay with him and his brother until his parents return this evening.
Hodge is a senior gorgeous silver tabby cat with bright blue eyes. He attacks whenever his addled brain prompts him, but underneath, he is a timid fellow. He is shown here lying on the floor with his front legs tucked under him and his hind legs stretched out behind.
