If it were me I’d stick Ubuntu or Debian on the NUC and keep using Docker, it’s the path of least resistance and the migration should be super easy as you just need to copy over the HA files or use the built-in backup/restore. Fingers crossed in any case 🤞

Yeah HA was my biggest concern. In the end I chatted through it with ChatGPT and decided it just wasn’t worth it for me. I’ve now made sure that I have decent backups and redundancy for my key containers instead.

I tried so hard to like Proxmox but as someone with a lot of existing containers, getting any of that existing data into Proxmox was a complete PITA. I think if I were starting from scratch or was happy to blow away everything and start fresh it would have been great.

@viticci.macstories.net I hate the fact that every service offers an end of year wrap-up that isn’t actually at the end of the year. I’ve had a couple from exercise apps telling me how far I’ve run/cycled etc. this year despite the fact I’m still planning on doing more this month!

I see nothing wrong with that! Certainly better than putting them up in early November (yes I’ve seen some houses around with them up already)

It’s definitely gotten worse since the move to v8 and becoming more cross-platform. I’ve pretty much abandoned it for Apple’s Passwords app for my own personal use but I’m still using it at work as it’s our only approved password manager.

Glad you are here Ned! I stopped using Twitter some time ago in favour of other, less hate filled places and I definitely missed seeing your posts.
