Been a while since I last posted about my nissan obd1 project. All finished up and took some preorders. I was planning to do a little more but tariffs are gonna probably sink this project. Decided to ship the atmega version and maybe someday if things change ill develop the esp32 or a pi version

Any makers out there with a boat or a plane? I might have an idea

Wohoo my latest obd1 interface PCB is working. Last 2 revisions of the SMD board weren’t working for whatever reason. Made too many changes between revisions to know for certain. Guess we will never know lol

Here's a schematic of the latest version, should give you an idea. Only thing untested is the top nmos used for level shifting.. Sadly I was using the wrong pinout on my PCB so I gotta reorder or botch it somehow lol

Connects to older Nissan “consult” OBD1 ECU interfaces to display sensor data, view/clear fault codes, and can also do some built in ECU tests like activating relays or changing certain parameters. I can try to get some links or schematics for you when I’m back home

First and latest revision of my little ECU interface. Next up terminating some connections and then assembling the ESP32 version

First time doing a SMD soldering. Less jank than expected considering I’m using cheap paste and a $50 hot air station. Little OBD device for older Nissans

A big shoutout to DigiKey and an even bigger sorry to the fulfillment employees who have to piece together my orders of random crap 🙏🏽

Working on a ESP32 based environmental sensor client and server devices. Goal is just to get some experience with battery recharging and protection circuits and get some more PCB design under my belt. No idea what I'm doing but YOLO
