It's a huge sticking point because the technology needs to 'see' your space and surroundings - even you - for it to be effective.

I was reminded of the challenges for those in a wheelchair or homebound to visit the ocean without assistance. Things like that are really important.

Absolutely! And even help them explore spaces that would be difficult if they were unable to explore them otherwise. For example, through a disability.

AR and VR really do have a lot to offer. And they can be really beneficial for therapeutic uses. But, we always have to remember that there's an exchange - privacy being a huge concern and need to be addressed. Tackling that would be a part of being trauma informed.
