@jef I also saw the Pretenders at Civic Center plus a bunch of places in LA. I saw Shonen Knife at Amoeba records on Haight Street. I also saw Joe Jackson a bunch of times in LA and the theme of our senior prom held at the Bonaventure hotel in DTLA was Look Sharp from JJ. very original I know.
