I have started watching Norwegian Netflix series, with subtitles, to practise my Danish. The differences in pronunciation between 🇩🇰 and 🇳🇴 are wild. Enjoying Hjem til Jul, especially the cameo from Danish actress Ghita Nørby. (Seeing Matador has given me serious Danish cred).

Bjarne looks really cold. And fireworks 🧨 🧨 are going off in Nuuk. It’s minus -2 in Nuuk.

🛬 The first direct flight between Copenhagen and Nuuk Airport in Greenland has landed. Huge crowds have assembled. Enjoying the live feed and festive commentary from Bjarne who is on the ground. Bjarne is so excited he is crying. 😭

Today is my one year anniversary in the Danish kingdom 🇩🇰. Snow flurries ❄️ are still a novelty. But I am now a proper Viking with all the heat tech wardrobe essentials and proper snow boots. Off to enjoy winter hygge.
