It’s made me very aware ever since of how alienating and confusing a lot of Christian jargon is, even the stuff directed at non&new Christians, and the survey responses went on to inform how that church directed things like Alpha courses which was great.

One of the most eye-opening things my church youth group ever did was give us a few words/phrases (mine were ‘salvation’, ‘grace’, and ‘recieve Christ’) commonly used in churches, and go out and ask random people on the streets for their definitions and feelings about them.
