You wrote "ginger snaps" (home made no less!) and now I want one (or a dozen.)

Had a "someday" plan to go to Chicago. See mile one of Route 66, and check out the the former Abegweit ferry, now the clubhouse of the Columbia Yacht Club. Won't be going in the next 3.5 years...if ever.

2) Got better coverage and a bundle in the deal. Localish (Halifax Bragg Communications). But recent CRTC ruling mean the big guys can use Eastlink infrastructure for a song, which may be the end of Eastlink and other smaller players. How is this improving competition?

1)Been with Eastlink for TV since it was Island Cable. Switched my home phone to them with a move 18 years ago with a better deal than Islandtel (Now Bell/Aliant). First cell was with Rogers. They pi$$ed me off (admittedly the mistake was mine)so I switched to...Eastlink.

It is lovely here in the fall. Different vibe . Still beautiful, cooler. half the tourists are gone. I get your point, though; visitors see the fantasy; locals experience the reality: work, taxes, homelessness. I sometimes wonder how the average Joe experiences exotic places like Paris or Venice.

Of course what do I know? I am a CFA (come from away) despite living here 52 of my 59 years and I live in Charlottetown. Never had a well although a 63 year old friend remember pee pots under the bed.

I dunno Tod. I live on PEI; while some of your musings are spot on (30,000/180,000without a family doctor, sketchy internet in rural areas and yes to fully appreciate it you have to try it in winter) I think you are a bit harsh IKEA is 3 hours away and we have a bridge now. Time for another visit.

Excellent video. But I watched it a second time looking for the very things you mentioned. You passed lol.

Was just about to say the same thing.

Seems that many stores are putting more food products on the shelf in place of American ones. Many people would let fresh produce rot rather than buy it.

I catch myself almost treating American products like scalding water lol

Seeing the extraordinary in an ordinary day. I think that's a huge part of happiness.

A friend once pointed out to me that animals when startled or frightened flee. They don't tell themselves that they are paranoid or it's all in their heads. Their survival instinct kicks in. We are at least as smart as animals. Why do we question ourselves?

Just a thought. Perhaps this could be used to criticise the sanitization of historical info. Shoot them with their own weapon.

Yup.

Cute. As others have said, Canada geese can be nasty. My SIL calls them $h1t machines. I think I would rather see them in the glory are the other fella's parade. Lol

Might I suggest substituting LeClerc Celebration cookies for the chocolate and graham wafers. Cookie is similar to social tea with choice of dark or light chocolate and various fillings , including caramel.
